Chronicle
The quarry near Ittlingen in the Kraichgau is active. Terraced benches, two turquoise water pools at the bottom, spoil heaps, haul roads and an excavator parked on one of the benches — captured from the air, unedited original footage, exactly as the scene’s own description on superspl.at, titled “Stone Pit”, states.
It isn’t a place you can walk into. It’s fenced, working, and off-limits for good reason — which is exactly where this capture’s value differs from the rest of the archive: it doesn’t show a historical state, it shows a working state. A quarry changes with every blast, every load hauled out. What’s recorded here will already be measurably out of date within a month.
No geology, ownership or output figures are given here — none of that was captured, so none of it is claimed.
